The hotel offers absolutely beautiful rooms with a private deck to sit outside at night, although a view of the lake would have been preferred given the room rate. The location is wonderful, close to the Sea of Galilee and downtown, with stunning lush gardens and historical buildings around.
My stay at the Herbert hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although small and sparse, offered views over the Sea of Galilee. The location, steeped in history and beauty, was somewhat marred by a garbage smell. The dining experience had its highlights with an extensive buffet but could be hit or miss. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
