Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers absolutely beautiful rooms with a private deck to sit outside at night, although a view of the lake would have been preferred given the room rate. The location is wonderful, close to the Sea of Galilee and downtown, with stunning lush gardens and historical buildings around.
My stay at the Herbert hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although small and sparse, offered views over the Sea of Galilee. However, they lacked the charm I expected for the price. The service, while attentive to luxury details like a four-poster bed, was a bit lacking in helpfulness and English proficiency. The location, steeped in history and beauty, was somewhat marred by a garbage smell. The dining experience had its highlights with an extensive buffet but could be hit or miss. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms could do with some remodeling but make up for it with a nice view of the Galilean water. The high ceilings, large bathrooms, and canopy beds added a touch of luxury to the accommodation. The service was friendly and efficient, although there was a lack of flexibility with certain requests. The location was convenient for exploring the city and other nearby attractions, despite being a bit challenging to reach due to the hillside setting. The dining experience offered a delicious variety of food, especially the grilled meat. The facilities were well-maintained and satisfactory.
